Help Us Rebuild Renew Roots School
The Renew Roots School was created to provide trauma informed education for children living through devastation, displacement, and loss. Our last school, a place of safety, learning, and healing, was destroyed. Soon after, starvation and severe flooding compounded the losses our families and staff suffered, washing away not just physical structures but a sense of stability for the children and families we serve. We don’t give up, with your help we pivoted into a food distribution program to help our families with continued support.
But Renew Roots does not end there.
We are now preparing to plant our roots in a new location, with plans to open a new School in 2026.
This new school will be built on everything we have learned, carrying forward our commitment to education that centers safety, emotional regulation, creativity, and dignity for children who have survived unimaginable experiences.
Trauma informed education is not a luxury. For children impacted by displacement and disaster, it is essential. It allows learning to happen without fear, helps restore trust, and supports long term healing alongside academic growth.
In addition to education, Renew Roots provides basic food support and essential care, ensuring children are able to learn without hunger. We also offer direct support to families, recognising that children cannot heal in isolation and that family stability is central to recovery.
Your donation directly supports:
• Establishing the new Renew Roots School, tent by tent.
• Teaching and learning materials
• Safe, nurturing educational spaces
• Basic food provision for children
• Family support and community care
• Creative healing programs from our experienced teachers
• Long term stability for children starting over
By giving today, you are helping children move from survival to possibility. You are helping us rebuild not just a school, but a future rooted in care, resilience, and community.
Your help means hope.
Thank you for standing with Renew Roots as we begin again.

Crypto Scammers Target School & Food Project: Renew Roots Foundation Responds Swiftly
The Renew Roots Foundation is urgently warning the public about a fraudulent scheme involving the misuse of its name and mission. Criminals posing as representatives of the Foundation have been soliciting cryptocurrency donations through a similarly named website, collecting email addresses & diverting funds away from the intended cause and into the hands of scammers.
These deceptive campaigns have been primarily circulating online, with scammers exploiting the visibility and compassion surrounding the Foundation’s work—especially its efforts to provide food security and educational resources to vulnerable communities.
A spokesperson for Renew Roots Foundation condemned the scam in the strongest terms:
“It is heartbreaking that individuals would exploit our mission to help children and families in need. We have reported this fraudulent activity. We are committed to transparency and the protection of our donors.”
The Foundation reassures supporters that donations made through official channels remain completely secure. Donors are urged to only contribute via the official website, www.renewroots.org, or through verified fundraisers listed on our official social media accounts.
If you believe you may have been targeted or have seen suspicious activity related to the Foundation, please report it immediately to contact@renewroots.org.
Protecting Our Mission, Together
The Renew Roots Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to community empowerment, sustainability, and justice. While these fraudulent actions are deeply troubling, they will not derail the progress being made through our vital aid.
We thank our community for its continued support, vigilance, and trust.

UPDATE June 27, 2025
Dear friends,
Now, our families are settled in Al Mawasi—but hunger and a lack of medical care persist. A new and deadly threat has emerged: the GHF aid point, where many seeking help have tragically perished. Danger from the skies is still persistent in the new area.
In response, we’re providing SAFE direct aid—distributing family food packs to those most in need. We now support 137 families, rotating our support in weekly batches to reach as many as possible and to make sure our support is sustainable.
Despite everything, our mission remains the same: to feed, educate, and stand by our children and their families—wherever they are. And we need your support more than ever. This week we received request for help from the north and south - while we struggle to maintain our small community.
From the rubble, hope can rise—but only with your continued help.
We won’t give up. Because they can’t.

EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER
Our heroic teachers are keeping the school open, but our school community is facing additional challenges. Without their most basic needs being met, the children are struggling, and food is becoming scarce and expensive.
As the situation worsens, we are coordinating emergency aid for our pupils and we hope that you can help them.
A small donation of £4, $5 or €4.5 can support 1 of our school children for 1 day of food and water. Please donate to meet one of the children’s needs for a day.
We are counting on you!

Ramadan Kareem
As we wish our supporters a Happy Ramadan, the teachers at Renew Roots are also preparing the school for Ramadan, the children will create lanterns and decorations - the first Ramadan in school for a long time!

Pupils return to school in Gaza
Since the ceasefire we have partnered with a small school which is situated near Khan Younis in Gaza. For some months it had been run by the teachers and staff on a voluntary basis but due to increasing hardship and a total lack of funds and materials it unfortunately had to close.
Using the funds from your donations we’re delighted to announce that we have been able provide the much needed financial support it needed. The school was finally able to reopen on February 23rd with its faculty of 16 dedicated teachers, two trauma informed counseling staff and 430 young pupils. -
The Renew Roots School is open!
The teachers and families show their gratitude for your support by naming their school the Renew Roots School :-)
Please donate what you can to ensure the Renew Roots Foundation school in Gaza remains open and that we can continue to support these dedicated teachers and their students who are excited to be able to return to school.

Each tent is a classroom
This small tent school was set up by the Palestinian families and teachers in the area to provide much needed education for their children who have been without formal education since October 2023.
This small school illustrates both the resilience and resourcefulness of this community as well as the high value they place on education. The Renew Roots Foundation is honored to be supporting the school through providing classroom supplies for the students and much needed financial aid for the dedicated staff and teachers.
